THE JOURNEY

IMG_3118.png

The Generation Hope Journey begins with attending our Summer Camps with a school group. During this time, Campers grow in confidence and faith by stepping out of their comfort zone to go on ziplines, climb up trees, paddle board around the loch and much more! Gen Hope group leaders journey alongside them as they hear testimonies from these young adults who have seen God move in their own lives.

On their return to school, those who wish can join a Generation Hope Group - or set one up! Within these groups, students will learn more about their faith, carry out works of charity (especially through Mary’s Meals, an organisation that feeds some of the poorest children in the world and through which the organisation of Generation Hope was born), and pray with each other. Our volunteers carry out school visits throughout the academic year, and spend time with those who have attended Camp.

Various other opportunities will take place along the way - pilgrimages, events, learning projects and volunteering opportunities. For example, we held a Touch Point Day, in which schools were invited to gather together in Paisley for an amazing day of games, talks, Mass and confessions.

Those who wish, can start to become leaders of Generation Hope themselves - eventually coming back to lead the Camps where it first began for them. This year, we had a group of 4th years return to Camp as young leaders where they spent the week helping out in different ways.

The GenHope Video Series is a resource designed for schools to use on their return from Camp as a way for their students to continue growing in faith. These fun videos include comedy sketches and micro talks from our team on different faith topics.
